Yong Kang
Yong Kang, female, born in December 1978 in Suzhou City, Anhui Province, holds a Ph.D. and serves as an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor. She graduated from Anhui University of Science and Technology in 2007 with a Master's degree in Safety Engineering and Technology. She earned a Ph.D. in Safety Engineering and Technology from Northeastern University in January 2014. She joined the School of Safety Engineering at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology in July 2013. Engaged in teaching and research in the field of safety engineering. She is primarily responsible for teaching courses including Safety Systems Engineering, Safety Principles and Safety Management, and Safety Evaluation Practice.
Her long-term research focus on gas leakage explosions, hazardous chemical management standards, and accident emergency management. In recent years, she has led or served as a key contributor to over 10 research projects, accumulating extensive practical and on-site management experience. She conducts in-depth research into community safety. She has published nearly 20 academic papers in high-quality domestic and international journals; holds one authorized national invention patent and four authorized utility model patents; co-authored one textbook; and guided students to win multiple awards.
