Wei Wang



Wei Wang, lecturer and Master's Supervisor, graduated from Northeast Petroleum University in 2010, obtaining a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She graduated from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2016, with a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology. From July 2020 to July 2022, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Beijing Academy of Safety Engineering and Technology, (Beihang University). She joined Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology in September 2022 and has been engaged in teaching and research.

Her primary research focuses on hazardous chemical safety (including identification of chemical hazardous properties, reaction thermal safety risk assessment, risk control for hazardous chemical usage in technological innovation fields, etc.), chemical process safety management, and thermal safety risk assessment of fine chemical reactions along with studies on thermal runaway pathways and evolution mechanisms. She has presided over or participated in more than 10 projects, including sub-projects of the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), Shenhua Group's technological innovation projects, and industry-funded horizontal projects related to chemical process safety risk assessment. She has published over 20 academic papers, with more than 10 indexed by SCI or EI.

1. Research on thermal safety risk assessment of fine chemical reactions and thermal runaway evolution mechanisms.

2. Research on substance thermal stability assessment and thermal decomposition pathways.

4.Industry-funded Horizontal Project: Analysis and Prevention of Accident Risks in Vascular Interventional Robots. Role: Principal Investigator. Status: Completed, 2021-2023.

5.Industry-funded Horizontal Project: Thermal Safety Assessment and Process Optimization for Reactions Involving Pressurized Gases. Role: Principal Investigator. Status: Completed, 2021-2022.
