
Yuming Zhao was born in May 1971 in Hengshui, Hebei Province. He holds a Ph.D. in Management and is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor. He graduated from Beijing Electronic College (Central Office) in 1991, obtained a Master's degree in Computer Application Technology from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1997, and received a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2006. In 2012, he completed his postdoctoral research at the School of Computer Science, Beijing Institute of Technology. From July 1991 to April 2006, he worked at the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Hebei Provincial Administration and Hebei Airport Management Group, serving successively as Staff Member, Party Committee Secretary, General Manager of the Communications Company (Deputy Division Level), and Deputy Director of the Enterprise Management and Regulations Division. From April 2006 to March 2013, he worked at the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China, serving as Lecturer, Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Airport Management. Since June 2013, he has been with the School of Economics and Management, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, where he currently serves as Director of the Emergency Management and Intelligent Decision-making Research Team and Executive Deputy Director of the Institute of Emergency Studies at the Beijing Academy of Safety Production Engineering Technology.
His main research fields include regional collaborative response and emergency linkage for accidents and disasters, enterprise safety management and emergency management system construction, emergency rescue simulation, emergency logistics management and simulation, and aviation safety management. He has led multiple provincial/ministerial-level and enterprise-commissioned research projects, with many research outcomes adopted by enterprises and generating significant economic and social benefits.
