Jian Tang
Jian Tang, female, born in June 1978 in Weihai, Shandong Province, holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, and is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor. She graduated from Shandong Institute of Architecture and Engineering (now: Shandong Jianzhu University) in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation. In 2005, she earned a master’s degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and in 2014, she received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Design and Theory from the same university. She currently works at the Department of Automation at the School of Information Engineering, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, where she serves as the Head of the Automation Department.
Her research focuses on the development and speed control of ultrasonic in-line inspection tools for long-distance oil pipelines, the acquisition, compression, and processing of corrosion detection signals, and industrial control system information security. As the project leader, she has undertaken six projects, including scientific and technological planning projects from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and enterprise-sponsored collaborative projects. As a key participant, she has contributed to one National Natural Science Foundation of China project, one Beijing Natural Science Foundation project, two scientific and technological development projects of the Sinopec Group, one major science and technology planning project of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission in 2006, and five enterprise-sponsored collaborative projects. She has published over 30 academic papers, 14 of which are indexed by SCI and EI. Additionally, she has received one provincial/ministerial-level second prize for Scientific and Technological Progress and authored one monograph.
