
Daobing Wang, male, Anhui Tongcheng native, a core member of a "Huang Danian-style" National College Teaching Team, Doctor of Engineering, Full Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. He received his Ph.D. in Petroleum Well Engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2017. From September 2015 to September 2016, he studied Computational Mechanics at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain, as a state-sponsored doctoral student funded by the China Scholarship Council.
From 2017 to 2019, he conducted postdoctoral research in Mechanics at Beihang University and the Beijing Academy of Safety Science and Technology. From September 2023 to July 2024, he was a visiting scholar in Solid Mechanics at Beihang University. Since October 2019, he has been teaching at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology.
He has long been engaged in research and teaching in the efficient development of new energy and unconventional oil and gas resources, including geothermal energy, hydrogen energy, and nuclear energy. I currently serve as a member of the First Committee of the Low-Carbon Energy Rock Mechanics and Engineering Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, Director of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Regional Committee of the Special Science and Technology Program for Green Mines, and a youth editorial board member for five journals, including Advances in Geo-Energy Research, Rock Mechanics Bulletin, and Unconventional Resources. He is also a guest editorial board member of the Journal of Northeast Petroleum University, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Advanced Thermal Science Research, and was recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer of Petroleum Science Bulletin in 2023.
To date, he has presided over three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as eight provincial- and ministerial-level projects, including those supported by the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, the PetroChina Science and Technology Innovation Fund, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and several national/provincial key laboratory open funds. He has also undertaken one sub-project of an NSFC Key Program. His research achievements have received eight provincial or industry association awards, including three First Prizes and four Second Prizes. He has been honored with the Best Scientific Progress Award in Petroleum Engineering Rock Mechanics, the Green Mine Young Science and Technology Award, the Young Outstanding Scientific Contribution Award from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Automation Association, the Excellent Green Mine Science and Technology Worker Award, and a nomination as an Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talent in the fields of mining, petroleum, and safety engineering. To date, he has published 96 papers in domestic and international journals, including 60 indexed by SCI, 7 indexed by EI, and 14 in core Chinese journals. He has 20 authorized Chinese invention patents and 1 U.S. invention patent, and has registered 7 software copyrights.
