Shugeng Feng



Shugeng Feng, male, born in Apr 1983, Ph.D., lecturer in Department of Environmental Engineering. He graduated from Shandong University (Weihai) with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Biotechnology in 2006; obtained a Master Degree of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009; and earned a Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in 2016. He is working in the Department of Environmental Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering.

He is engaged in research on wastewater treatment and environmental engineering microbiology. He served as a key member in six projects, including the National Major Science and Technology Program for Water Pollution Control and Treatment, the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and projects commissioned by enterprises. He has published over 20 academic papers, of which over 10 are indexed in SCI, and co-authored one e-textbook for undergraduates.

Biological Treatment and Resource Recovery of Water Pollutants

1. Novel principles, methods, and technologies for coupling wastewater biological treatment with resource recycling.

2. Microbial mechanisms and technologies for the biotransformation and resource recovery of organic waste (e.g., waste activated sludge, food waste).

3. Theoretical and methodological aspects of microbial ecology in engineered systems.
