
Xiyue Zhang, female, born in April 1989 in Baoding, Hebei Province, holds a Doctor of Science degree and serves as an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor. She graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Management degree in Tourism Management. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Human Geography from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016. She has been teaching at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology since August 2016. She currently serves as Head of the Department of Tourism and Events Management in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
She has committed to the long-term research in the preservation and utilization of intangible cultural heritage resources, as well as cultural heritage tourism development. She was selected as an Outstanding Young Talent in the Faculty of Beijing Municipal Universities during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. She currently leads three research projects: the Beijing Municipal Social Science Fund, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission's General Social Science Program, and the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Organization Department's Outstanding Talent Cultivation Grant for Young Key Personnel. Additionally, she spearheaded Beijing's 2017 Young Faculty Social Research Project and the "Double Hundred Action Plan" serving the capital's "Four Centers" functional development. She has published over 10 academic papers and authored one monograph.
