
Meijing Zhou, female, born in 1989, native of Hengyang, Hunan Province. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and is currently a Lecturer and Master's Supervisor. She received her Ph.D. degree in Applied Economics from Central South University in 2022. From 2019 to 2021, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI), Germany. From 2022 to 2024, she conducted postdoctoral research at Beihang University and the Beijing Academy of Safety Engineering and Technology. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Exhibition Management, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, where she teaches courses such as Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
Her main research interests include green and low-carbon tourism, rural revitalization, cultural-tourism integration, and digital-intelligent tourism. She has presided over seven research projects, including the Beijing Municipal Philosophy and Social Science Fund Project, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Project, the Beijing Postdoctoral Research Funding Program, the Hunan Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Fund Project, and the Hunan Provincial Department of Education Scientific Research Project. As the first or corresponding author, she has published 12 academic papers in SSCI/SCI/CSSCI/CSCD journals such as Ecological Indicators, Resources Policy, Tourism Tribune, and Resources Science. Some of her policy research articles have been adopted by China Tourism News and The Internal Reference of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Special Submission to the General Office of the CPC Central Committee). She has also participated in some National Natural Science Foundation of China (Key and General) projects, National Social Science Fund General projects, and multiple tourism planning and consulting projects. In addition, she has guided undergraduate students in the URT program and national discipline competitions such as the National College Business Elite Challenge.
