Lei Cheng

 



 

Lei Cheng, a native of Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, was born in November 1980. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics (Applied Computer Software) from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2001, a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 2004, and a Doctor of Management degree in Management Science and Engineering (Applied Mathematics) in 2012. She is currently a Professor and Master's Supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, where she serves as the Professor-in-Charge of the Logistics Management Program. She also serves as a Council Member of the Energy Economics and Management Sub-committee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics, and a Young Editorial Board Member of the journal Coal Economic Research.

Her research focuses on energy economics and energy security, supply chain coordination and optimization control. She has led one Young Scientists Fund project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in two General Program projects. She has been involved in more than ten research projects commissioned by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the National Development and Reform Commission, the China National Coal Association and China National Coal Technology and Engineering Group, as well as over thirty enterprise consulting projects. She has published more than 30 academic papers, including over 10 indexed by SCI/EI/CSSCI, co-authored four monographs/textbooks, obtained five computer software copyrights, and received eight provincial/ministerial-level awards.
