
Yong Yan, female, born in November 1972, is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor. She holds the qualification of National Registered Safety Engineer, and serves as a Director of the 3rd Council of the Opto-Mechanical-Electronic Technology and System Integration Society of the China Instrument and Control Society, as well as a Member of the 8th Committee of the Opto-Mechanical-Electronic Technology Specialty Committee of the Chinese Optical Society. She is the quality manager of the CNAS-accredited laboratory at the Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology Safety Production Software Testing Center.
She has long been engaged in the development and research of artificial intelligence, robotics and embedded systems, with her researches focus on data perception, analysis and processing. As a project leader, she has undertaken 8 research projects; in addition, she has participated as a core member in multiple major projects, including the key special projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). She has published more than 30 academic papers in total, obtained 2 authorized invention patents, and compiled 6 textbooks, among which she served as the associate editor for 3 volumes.
Her academic and teaching contributions have been widely recognized: she was awarded the title of Excellent Instructor for College Students’ Disciplinary Competitions in Beijing in 2024; she won the First-Class Award of the National Service Industry Science and Technology Innovation Award issued by the China General Chamber of Commerce in 2025; she also received one Second-Class Award of Beijing Municipal Teaching Achievements and 6 educational teaching awards granted by relevant industrial societies.
