Wenxing Xu
Wenxing Xu, female, born in December 1982 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Professor, and Master's Supervisor. She holds a PhD of Control Theory and Control Engineering, and is also a Beijing Outstanding Talent and a Young Top Talent in Beijing Municipal Universities. In 2016, she went to the University at Buffalo, State University of New York as a visiting scholar for one year; in 2018, she served as Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Commission of Miyun District, Beijing on secondment. At present, she is a member of the Process Control Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, a member of the Data-Driven Control, Learning and Optimization Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, a member of the Information Technology Application Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and a director of the Beijing Association of Automation.
She is mainly engaged in the applied basic research and development work in the fields of intelligent modeling and optimization, intelligent control and optimization of complex industrial processes, planning and scheduling systems and optimization, evolutionary computation and machine learning. She has presided over more than 10 scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Joint Project of Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Natural Science Foundation, with a total research funding of more than 5 million RMB. She has published more than 30 academic papers in domestic and international journals and conferences, nearly 20 of which are indexed by SCI and EI; she has obtained 4 authorized national invention patents and more than 10 software copyrights; the robust optimization algorithms she developed have received peer recognition. Currently, she serves as a peer review expert of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation Committee, a technical investigator of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, and a reviewer for SCI journals such as Information Sciences, Grey Systems and Memetic Computing. She has been awarded honors including Outstanding Doctoral Graduate of Beijing Higher Education Institutions, Young Science and Technology Innovation Talent of the Beijing Association of Automation, Excellent Undergraduate Graduation Design Supervisor in Beijing, Excellent Instructor of Baidu Artificial Intelligence Program, Excellent Paper Award at the National Symposium on Petrochemical Production Safety and Control Technology, Third Prize at the National Competition for Experimental Teaching Case Design of Computer Courses, and Excellent Case Award for "Curriculum Ideology and Politics" of the Beijing Association of Automation in 2025.
