
Zou Yong, male, born in 1976, from Changsha, Hunan, holds a Doctorate in Engineering, is an associate professor, and a master's supervisor. He graduated in 2000 from Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Automation; in February 2004, he graduated from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) with a master's degree in Mechanical Design and Theory; in July 2016, he graduated from Beihang University with a doctorate degree in Mechatronic Engineering. Since June 2004, he has been engaged in scientific research and teaching in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, and the Beijing Key Laboratory of Opto-Mechatronic Equipment Technology. He concurrently serves as a committee member of the Applied Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, a committee member of the Robotics and Automation Professional Committee of the Welding Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and a member of the Chinese Society of Rehabilitation Medicine.
He has long been engaged in research on robotics technology and its applications, including the development and application of nuclear power and underwater special robot equipment, research on robot vision imaging, navigation and intelligent perception technology, intelligent control technology, research and software development for processes such as automatic welding/grinding, and research on medical rehabilitation robot technology. He has presided over 11 national, provincial, and enterprise-commissioned research projects, and participated in 27 vertical projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National 863 Program, and key provincial and ministerial projects, as well as 36 enterprise-commissioned horizontal projects. His robotic research achievements have been applied in major projects such as the Olympic "Bird's Nest" stadium, the Shanghai World Expo "Expo Center", China's tallest building "Shanghai Tower", the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and Beijing Daxing International Airport. His research achievements have won the First Prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award, and the Third Prize of Shaanxi Science and Technology Award, as well as the China Excellent Patent Award and Shaanxi Excellent Patent Award. He has published 70 papers, including 15 as the first author or corresponding author, with 4 indexed by SCI and 21 by EI. A total of 47 patents have been authorized, including 39 invention patents (7 of which are international invention patents), and 1 software copyright has been registered. He has published one monograph, participated in the compilation of one industry standard, and one welding professional reference book, and serves as a reviewer for multiple journals.
