
Ya Chen, female, born in December 1978 in Jingzhou, Hubei Province, holds a Doctor of Engineering degree, an associate professor and master's supervisor, who graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2005. She is currently acting as Deputy Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
With profound expertise in robotic system modeling and analysis, her research focuses on mobile robots and mobile manipulator systems. Her Academic accomplishments include leading one general project of the Science and Technology Program of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and she has participated in one sub-project of the 863 Program, and has undertaken or contributed to more than 10 enterprise research projects. She has over 30 academic papers been published; more than 10 national patents been filed as the principal inventor or designer, among which 3 invention patents and 8 utility model patents have been granted. In addition, her 6 software copyrights have been obtained.
