
Yi Shi, associate professor and Master's supervisor, born in 1990 in Huanggang, Hubei Province. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and completed postdoctoral research. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2019. From 2017 to 2018, he was supported by the China Scholarship Council's State-sponsored Program for Studying Abroad and undertook joint doctoral training at the School of Petroleum Engineering, University of Tulsa, USA. From 2019 to 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology. Since July 2021, he has been teaching at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology.
His research focuses on multiphase fluid flow and separation, as well as the design and development of petroleum and environmental protection equipment. He has led or participated in more than 12 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Fund Project, General Program of NSFC, sub-projects of National Key S&T Special Projects, and industry-funded projects from enterprises such as PetroChina, Sinopec, and CNOOC. He has published 16 academic papers, 10 of which are indexed by SCI/EI, and holds 10 authorized Chinese invention patents (5 as the first inventor). He received a First-Class Provincial/Ministerial-Level Scientific Research Award and currently serves as a Young Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Petroleum Machinery.
