
Jiqiang Huang, male, born in 1971, native of Hefei City, Anhui Province, holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He graduated from Zhengzhou University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in welding technology and equipment. He earned a Ph.D. in materials processing Engineering from Beijing University of Technology in 2004. From July 1994 to August 1998, he worked as an assistant engineer at Anhui Ankai Automobile Co., Ltd. From March 2004 to September 2005, he served as an engineer/department manager at Duoyuan Water Environmental Technology Industry (China) Co., Ltd. From October 2005 to October 2007, he held the positions of Deputy Director of the R&D Center and senior engineer at Beijing Dongliyuan Power Source Technology Co., Ltd. Since November 2007, he has been teaching at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology.
He has been engaged in teaching and research on welding equipment and automation, robotics technology and applications, and underwater welding technology. He also serves as a member of the Computer-Aided Manufacturing Engineering Committee and the Robotics and Automation Committee of the Welding Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. As the project leader, he has directed over 10 key national R&D projects/subprojects, Beijing municipal science and technology projects, joint funding project sponsored by the Beijing Natural Science Foundation and the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and enterprise-sponsored projects. As a main researcher, he has participated in more than 20 projects, such as National "863" Program projects, Key National R&D projects, National Natural Science Foundation projects, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission key projects, and enterprise-sponsored projects. He has published over 50 papers, obtained more than 10 national patents and software copyrights, co-authored 5 books, and won the first prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award twice.
