
Yanhe Han, male, native of Anqing, Anhui Province, holds a Doctor of Engineering degree and serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor. He earned his Doctor of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in June 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he was engaged in teaching and research in environmental science at Liaoning Normal University. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Griffith University in Australia. In 2011, he joined Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology. He holds national certifications as a registered environmental impact assessment engineer, environmental protection engineer, and safety engineer. He is also recognized as a Beijing Young Top-notch Talent.
He has long been engaged in research on industrial wastewater treatment and reuse engineering design and technology development, principles and technologies of water quality detection, equipment and technology development for refractory industrial wastewater treatment, environmental assessment, and industrial safety. He has successively led nearly 20 research projects, including two general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a joint funding project of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the Municipal Natural Science Foundation, the Beijing Top-notch Talent Project, and the Beijing Municipal Organization Department's Outstanding Talent Funding Project. He has obtained 15 national invention patents and utility model patents, published over 90 academic papers, including more than 40 indexed by SCI, and contributed to two co-authored books while serving as the editor-in-chief of the textbook Water Pollution Control Engineering.
He teaches undergraduate courses such as Water Pollution Control Engineering and Environmental Assessment and Planning, and co-teaches the graduate course Theory and Technology of Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery. He has presided over four provincial and university-level teaching research projects, receiving one Second Prize for Teaching Achievements in Beijing and one Special Prize for Teaching Achievements in China Petroleum Higher Education (Undergraduate) (as the second contributor). He is recognized as a university-level Distinguished Teacher, a peer-review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, a senior member of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, and a member of the International Water Association (IWA). He also serves as a reviewer for numerous domestic and international journals, including Environmental Engineering Journal, Imaging Science and Photochemistry, Chemosphere, Electrochemical and Solid-State Letters, Applied Surface Science, Thin Solid Films, Separation and Purification Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and Applied Catalysis B: Environmental.
