Jiangang Li




Jiangang Li, male, born in November 1966. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the Department of Chemistry at Shanxi University in 1987 and stayed as faculty, then received his Master's degree in 1993. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in 2001. From January 2002 to May 2004, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University. He joined Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology in June 2004 and was promoted to Professor in December 2010. From September 2010 to September 2011, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Washington, USA.

His long-term research focuses on the preparation and properties of new energy materials for lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors, industrial technology development, and recycling technologies for spent batteries. He serves as a peer reviewer for Beijing Natural Science Foundation, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and expert member of the Chinese Chemical Society, as well as reviewer for international journals including Ionics, Materials Characterization, Surface and Coatings Technology, Thin Solid Films, and Functional Materials. As key researcher, he completed two National 863 Program projects: "Lithium-ion Power Batteries and Management Systems for Fuel Cell City Buses" and "Lithium-ion Power Batteries and Management Systems for QR Pure Electric Vehicles". As principal investigator, he has completed 12 vertical and horizontal research projects, including Beijing Natural Science Foundation projects "Design of High-Capacity LiFeO2-Li2MnO3 Composites and Their Lithium Storage Properties", "Study on Nano-Fluoride Coated Modified Cathode Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries", and "Preparation and Characterization of LiNixCoyMn1-x-yO2 Materials", Beijing Municipal Education Commission science and technology projects, Beijing Outstanding Talent projects, and international collaboration projects with LG Chem of South Korea. He holds 5 authorized national invention patents and has published over 60 papers in core journals, including Journal of Power Sources and Electrochemistry Communications, with 28 SCI-indexed and 15 EI-indexed papers. He was recognized as Beijing Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teacher in 2006 and Beijing Outstanding Teacher in 2009.
