Zhenguo Wen

Zhenguo Wen, male, born in 1982 in Lulong, Hebei Province. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the College of Life Sciences at Nankai University in 2004 and his Ph.D. in Virology and Immunology from the Shanghai Pasteur Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. He has extensive experience in lentiviral vector-based pseudovirus technology, monoclonal and bispecific antibody construction, expression, and upstream/downstream process development, with both academic and industrial experience in industry-academia-research transformation. He previously served as Process Development Manager for GE Life Science Greater China (2011-2013), Associate Professor at Fujian Medical University (2014-2020), Director of the Antibody Drug Development Pilot Platform at the National-Local Joint Engineering Center of Fujian Medical University (2015-2016), and Cell Engineering and Process Development Director at Dayou Huaxia Biotechnology Group Co., Ltd. founded by Professor Lieping Chen (2017-2020). In August 2020, he joined Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology as the Responsible Professor for the Biopharmaceutical program.

His main research areas include: ① Development of macromolecular drug screening technologies; ② Development of high-yield engineered cell lines based on site-specific integration technology; ③ Research and development of theranostic molecular probes based on nanobodies or nanomaterials; ④ Development of specialized ligands for affinity chromatography; ⑤ Upstream and downstream process development for viral vector vaccines or subunit vaccines. He has presided over 5 provincial-level projects and enterprise-sponsored horizontal projects, published over 10 papers in domestic and international journals, and applied for 5 patents (including 4 PCT patents with 2 authorized). He was recognized as an Outstanding Young Talent in Daxing District in 2021.
