
Long Huang, male, born in 1983. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Taiyuan University of Technology in 2004 and his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009. From July 2009 to March 2015, he worked as a Senior Engineer at the Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Sinopec.
His long-term research focuses on: (1) Catalyst development, especially catalysts for hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, hydroamination, directed ammoxidation and directed methylation reactions; (2) Full-process simulation of industrial plants and complete technology development; (3) Development and engineering of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) removal technologies from exhaust gases; (4) Utilization of biomass resources. He has undertaken numerous enterprise-sponsored projects, collaborating with industry leaders such as Sinopec, CNPC, Hongda Group (Kunda Biotechnology), Sanju Environmental Protection, Maiqi Chemical, and North China Pharmaceutical Group, with R&D funding exceeding 5 million yuan in the past three years.
He has presided over or participated in multiple research projects including Sinopec technology development projects, National Natural Science Foundation projects, Chinese Academy of Sciences Youth Innovation Talent projects, and enterprise-sponsored projects. In the past three years, as technical leader, he has successfully commissioned several industrial plants including a 5,000 t/a continuous piperidine production plant, a 30,000 t/a GBL/NMP joint plant, dichloromethane and acetone tail gas recovery plants, and a 50,000 t/a fatty amine plant, creating significant economic benefits. Currently under construction are a 40,000 t/a pyridine derivatives plant, a 100,000 t/a ultra-high purity GBL plant, aromatic tail gas recovery plants, and textile exhaust treatment plants, all of which either fill domestic gaps or are world firsts.
He has published 6 academic papers, with 5 indexed by SCI/EI, and holds over 40 authorized national invention patents, many of which have been commercialized. He has supervised 2 graduated master's students and currently mentors 5, dedicated to cultivating aspiring young engineers to serve the nation and society.
