Mingsheng Luo




Mingsheng Luo, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, USA. Currently serves as Doctoral Supervisor at Beijing University of Technology and Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Distinguished Professor (Innovation) at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology. He is a reviewer for National Major Science and Technology Projects and Changjiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education. He previously held positions at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER), and University of Dayton. He specializes in clean energy and environmental catalyst research and development with extensive experience in chemical engineering design and project management. He has participated in numerous large and medium-sized chemical engineering design projects awarded National Science and Technology Progress Awards. He led the development of Shenhua Group's million-ton Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process and ten-thousand-ton Fischer-Tropsch catalyst and process package.
