Minglan Ge




Minglan Ge, female, born in December 1968 in Zhucheng, Shandong Province. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Technology (Applied Chemistry) from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2005. From September 2005 to March 2006, she was a visiting scholar at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Connecticut, USA. She has been teaching at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology since April 1994 and also serves as a Master's supervisor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

Her long-term research focuses on thermodynamic properties of ionic liquid solutions and oilfield chemicals. In recent years, she has expanded her research to VOC detection and optoelectronic materials. She serves as an expert in the "Chemical Science and Technology Expert Database" of the Chinese Chemical Society, Beijing Work Safety Standardization Reviewer, National Registered Safety Engineer, and reviewer for several academic journals, including ACS Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, Elsevier's Chemical Engineering Journal, Fluid Phase Equilibria, Journal of Chromatography A, and Fine Chemicals (Chinese core journal). She has presided over one National Key Technology R&D Program special project, one Beijing municipal-level research project, and several enterprise projects. As the first author or corresponding author, she has published over 70 papers in domestic and international core journals, with more than 40 indexed by SCI/EI. She holds 2 authorized national invention patents and has co-authored 3 monographs. In 2010, her doctoral dissertation was recommended by Beijing Institute of Technology for the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award and received recognition from Beijing Institute of Technology. She won the school's Excellent Teaching Award in 2016, has been recognized multiple times as an excellent URT project supervisor, received the school's Advanced Individual in Employment Work in 2016, and was recognized as an excellent graduation thesis (design) supervisor in 2016 and 2017. She has guided students to participate in various national and provincial-level subject competitions, winning multiple group and individual awards. In recent years, the graduate students she supervised have published several high-level papers (SCI Zone 2/EI indexed) as first authors.
