Jieming Xiong, male, born in 1967. He is a Professor and Master's supervisor. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1989 and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1995. He joined Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology in 1995. He has served as a Master's supervisor in Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology since 2003 and at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology since 2012.

He has long been engaged in research and teaching in mass transfer and separation, process simulation, etc. His research areas include extraction and refining of crude phenol (such as solvent extraction of crude phenol, separation of m-cresol and p-cresol), deep processing of tar (such as refining of indole and quinoline, impregnating pitch), water treatment (such as phenol-containing wastewater, naphthalene sulfonic acid wastewater treatment), etc. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects and established several industrial plants in China. The textbook he edited "Aspen Plus Example Tutorial for Chemical Process Simulation" (Second Edition) won the first prize of Excellent Publications (Textbooks) from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. He has published more than 50 academic papers, including more than 20 indexed by SCI/EI, obtained more than 10 authorized national invention patents, edited 2 textbooks, and supervised more than 20 master students.
