You Zhang, female, born in 1988. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from the School of Metallurgical Science and Engineering at Central South University in 2010 and her Ph.D. in Materials Physics and Chemistry from Beihang University in 2015. From 2019 to 2010, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht Centre for Materials and Coastal Research in Germany. Since 2015, she has been working at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology. She teaches graduate courses such as "Modern Electrochemical Research Methods" and "Materials Corrosion and Protection". She is also a council member of the Beijing Society for Corrosion and Protection.

Her main research focuses on corrosion of materials and equipment as well as green surface engineering manufacturing technologies. She has participated in multiple research projects including the "12th Five-Year Plan" National Defense Key R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation projects, Aviation Fund projects, and AVIC Industrial Group model projects. She has presided over 1 National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, 1 international cooperation project, 1 Beijing Natural Science Foundation General Project, 1 Beijing Municipal Education Commission Science and Technology Plan Project, and 1 Beijing Key Laboratory Open Fund Project. In the past five years, she has published 20 SCI-indexed papers in related fields and holds 4 authorized national invention patents. She serves as a reviewer for several domestic and international journals in related fields including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Corrosion Science, Applied Surface Science, and Surface and Interfaces.
