Yibo Wu




Yibo Wu, male, born in February 1978. He is a Professor and Deputy Director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Special Elastomer Composite Materials. He obtained his Bachelor's (2002), Master's (2005) and Ph.D. (2008) degrees from the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. After completing postdoctoral research at Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2010, he stayed on as faculty. He was a Visiting Scholar at Ohio State University, USA in 2011, selected for Beijing Higher Education "Young Elite Faculty" program in 2013, and recognized as Beijing Outstanding Talent (Youth Top-notch) in 2018.

His research focuses on developing green, low-carbon, high-performance polyisobutylene-based elastomeric materials and novel elastomer composites, as well as their production processes and application technologies. He has presided over 1 National Natural Science Foundation General Program, 3 provincial/ministerial-level projects including Beijing Natural Science Foundation General Program, and 4 industry-sponsored projects from CNPC. He has participated in over 10 major projects, including National 973 Program, Beijing Natural Science Foundation Key Program, and Beijing Science and Technology Major Enhancement Program. He has published over 40 academic papers, including more than 30 SCI-indexed papers (6 in Q1 journals) and holds 10 authorized invention patents. In 2009, he received the Third Prize of the 10th Beijing Outstanding Youth Scientific Paper Award. He serves as a peer reviewer for National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and technical committee member of CNPC Synthetic Rubber Testing Base, as well as reviewer for multiple domestic and international professional journals.
