
Fei Chen, male, born in 1971, Beijing Higher Education Teaching Master. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Nonferrous Metallurgy from Taiyuan University of Technology in 1994, a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Taiyuan University of Technology in 2002, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2013. He was promoted to Professor in November 2017 and has been a Master's supervisor since 2009. Currently, he serves as Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology and Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Special Elastomer Composites.
His long-term research focuses on metal surface treatment technology, material corrosion and protection, and graphene functionalization. He currently serves as Executive Director of the 8th Council of China Heat Treatment Association, Deputy Director of the 8th Youth Working Committee of Heat Treatment Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and Director of the 10th Council of Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection. He has accumulated extensive experience in surface modification technologies such as micro-arc oxidation, anodic oxidation, and plasma surface alloying for light metal alloys (Al, Mg, Ti). Since 2013, he has also conducted research on functionalization of two-dimensional materials like graphene and graphene oxide, applying them to surface treatment technologies and supercapacitor material preparation. Currently, he leads one Beijing Natural Science Foundation General Program, four enterprise-sponsored horizontal projects, and participates in three National Natural Science Foundation General Programs as a key member. He has won one First Prize of Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award (as third contributor) and one Third Prize of China Petroleum and Chemical Education Scientific Research Achievement Award (as second contributor). He has published over 90 academic papers, including more than 30 SCI-indexed papers, and holds 6 authorized national invention patents and 5 utility model patents. He has co-authored 2 monographs and 1 textbook.
