Educational Objectives
This major aims to cultivate high-quality applied engineering and technical talents with solid foundations in computer science and data science, a sense of social responsibility, professional ethics, an innovative spirit, and humanistic qualities. These talents possess strong engineering practice abilities and are oriented towards the big data development and technical service industry. They are capable of undertaking tasks such as application system development, data analysis and mining, data services, and management in the big data-related fields.
Cultivation Characteristics
This major emphasizes the educational characteristics of the entire life cycle of big data, including data collection and processing, visual analysis, data mining and prediction, and application development. With ability as the main thread and big data technology as the core, it reflects the directions of big data application system development and data mining technology. It has Beijing Municipal Excellent Teacher in Higher Education, Beijing Municipal Excellent Young Teacher in Higher Education, Beijing Municipal High-level Talent Program for Young Professionals, Beijing Municipal Outstanding Academic Innovation Team, and Beijing Municipal High-level Continuing Education Teaching Team in Higher Education. It has an authorized master's degree program in electronic information, a Beijing municipal demonstration experimental center, a national CNAS-accredited software testing center for work safety, high-quality undergraduate courses in Beijing, and key high-quality undergraduate textbooks in Beijing. In collaboration with multiple enterprises, we have jointly established "Digital Intelligence Industry Colleges", implementing a "four-year continuous teaching model for enterprise learning", which was recognized as a typical case in the "Double Hundred Program for University-Enterprise Cooperation" by the Higher Education Society of China in 2022. In collaboration with EFREI PARIS, a Sino-French engineering class has been jointly established, adopting a "3+2" and other training models, which has achieved an integrated undergraduate and postgraduate education.
