Educational Objectives

This major aims to cultivate students who are well-rounded in morality, intelligence, and physical fitness. Students will master mainstream Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, methods, processes, and common tools. Through a rich curriculum and practical projects, students will acquire theoretical and professional knowledge in IoT, such as the integration of software and hardware systems and the composition of network systems. By engaging in research and practical training on enterprise projects like smart homes and wearable devices, students will master various wireless communication technologies and the working principles, configuration methods, and application development of multiple sensors. They will also possess solid skills in network development, cloud platform applications, and hardware networking, and enhance their abilities in programming for chips and sensors, as well as designing and implementing applications. Students will be competent for enterprise-level Internet of Things application projects, possess good humanistic qualities and innovative spirit, and be able to work in enterprises, institutions, research institutes, and government agencies in the field of intelligent Internet of Things. Also, they will become high-quality applied talents capable of engaging in intelligent application development and testing, intelligent equipment inspection and analysis, intelligent product design, and intelligent system design.

Cultivation Characteristics

This major has always adhered to the practical education concept of "practicing in high regard and integrating knowledge with action", continuously deepening the reform of engineering education. With the cultivation of engineering practice ability as the main line, it takes the enterprise practice course system oriented by the whole process results as the breakthrough point, and takes the deep integration and cooperation mechanism between the school and enterprises as the implementation platform. It has explored and practiced the application-oriented talent cultivation model with the cultivation of engineering ability as the main line, and formed the professional characteristics of result-oriented design, deep cooperation between schools and enterprises, and highlighting the cultivation of engineering ability. Relying on the off-campus internship bases of Beijing ChinaSoft International Education Technology Co., Ltd., a good practical platform has been provided for the cultivation of students' engineering and technical capabilities.
