Financial Technology (FinTech)
Program Overview
As Beijing builds itself into a global digital economy benchmark city, this program addresses the growing demand for fintech talents. Scheduled to enroll its first cohort in 2025, it is one of only 12 such approved majors in Beijing universities.
Educational Objectives
We aim to cultivate high-level applied talents with an international vision and innovative spirit. Students will learn to comprehensively utilize information technology, data science, and intelligent technology to solve key financial problems, such as big data analysis, product design, and operational management.
Program Highlights
? Exceptional Faculty: The team consists of 13 faculty members, all holding Doctoral degrees (100%), with over 60% possessing international academic backgrounds.
? Industry Integration: We have established internship bases with leading institutions including Bank of China, CITIC Securities, Baidu Finance, and JD Technology. Students have opportunities to participate in real corporate projects.
? Professional Certification: The curriculum covers 70% of the knowledge points for CFA (Level I), FRM (Level I), and Securities Practitioner exams. The program encourages certifications such as CFA, CPA, and Data Analyst (CDA).
Core Curriculum
Monetary Finance, Securities Investment, Introduction to FinTech, Internet Finance & Payment, Blockchain Principles & Applications, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance & AI, Financial Engineering & Risk Management, and Financial Big Data Analysis.
Career Prospects
Graduates are well-positioned for roles such as FinTech Product Manager, Quantitative Analyst, Blockchain Developer, and Data Scientist. Employment sectors include internet giants (Financial Departments), securities/fund technology departments, and the Digital Currency Institute of the People's Bank of China. The university offers exchange and joint training programs with world-renowned universities, including UC Irvine (USA), University of Sydney (Australia), and the University of Manchester (UK).
