Cultivation Characteristics

The tourism management undergraduate program satisfies the demand for tourism professionals who can serve Beijing as a city with "four centers" functions, as well as a world historical and cultural city and a world tourism city. It aims to cultivate high-level applied talents who have a systematic mastery of modern tourism management theories, methods, and information intelligent technology. The graduates of this program possess international vision, cultural heritage, and digital intelligence, and can engage in cultural tourism service planning, digital tourism operation, and other work in various tourism enterprises and institutions, as well as in the cultural tourism administrative management departments at all levels.

The program focuses on strengthening students' application abilities, such as cultural tourism planning services and digital tourism operations, as well as strengthening the training of abilities in "artificial intelligence". The curricula integrate extracurricular scientific and technological competitions, URT project learning, and other competitions and projects into course learning, and continuously improve students' modern tourism planning services, digital tourism operations tourism practice abilities, international communication abilities, cross-disciplinary knowledge application abilities, and communication and coordination abilities. It aims to cultivate high-level modern tourism management applied talents who meet the development of Beijing's tourism.

Faculty & Staff

The program has a high-level teaching staff of 13 people, with 46% of senior titles, 77% of doctoral degrees, and 64% of overseas educational experience. There is one Beijing Teaching Master and one Excellent Young Talent of Beijing-funded Universities.

Teaching Resources

This platform has the authority to confer master's degrees in the field of business administration. It has established the "Tourism Innovation and Green Development Research Center" as an important research institution within the school. It has established on-campus practice teaching laboratories, including a microbrewery, a wine tasting room, a leisure coffee bar, a tourism and cultural and creative design center, and a multi-modal digital tourism laboratory.

The program has established more than 40 professional internship and employment bases and enterprises throughout Beijing, including tourism groups, high star-level hotels, travel agencies, exhibition companies, cultural tourism bureaus at all levels, tourist attractions, theme parks, cultural relics gardens, planning design institutes, and digital tourism companies.

The program has established a "diverse, high-quality, and efficient" practice, internship, and employment channel, with the employment rate of the program reaching 96% over the years. In recent, the enterprises and institutions where graduates were employed in various levels of the Beijing Culture and Tourism Bureau, CITS Group, China Travel Service Group, China Youth Travel Service Group, Spring and Autumn Travel Service, Zhongxin Travel Service, Huacheng Travel Service, Zhongzhi Exhibition Group, Beijing Guibin Building Hotel, Beijing China Grand; theme scenic parks such as the Summer Palace, the Old Summer Palace, Phoenix Ridge, and Yuquan Pool; cultural and museum parks such as the Palace Museum the Chinese Garden Museum, and the China Industrial Museum; and vocational colleges such as Beijing Quxi Vocational School, Beijing Changping Vocational School, Jingi Vocational Technology College, and Beijing New Media Technician College, etc.
