Auditing
The Professional Master's in Auditing program cultivates high-level, application-oriented auditing professionals who are well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, esthetic, and labor education. Aligned with China's "dual-carbon" strategy and the socioeconomic development needs of the capital, graduates possess strong ideological and political qualities, professional ethics, social responsibility, and a pioneering spirit. They are equipped to adapt to an informatized auditing environment, systematically master modern auditing and related domain knowledge and skills, and demonstrate sound comprehensive competence, adaptability, systematic auditing thinking, strong professional judgment, and robust practical problem-solving abilities. The program leverages municipal-level platforms including the Beijing Key Construction Discipline of Technology Economics and Management, the Development Research Center of Beijing New Modern Industrial Area (a Beijing Municipal Key Research Institution in Philosophy and Social Sciences), the Capital Collaborative Innovation Center for Clean Energy Supply and Usage Security Technology, and the Beijing Institute of Work Safety Engineering and Technology Research Institute Postdoctoral Workstation. Its talent cultivation base, co-established with the Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is approved as a municipal-level base, providing strong support for disciplinary development and talent cultivation.
Building on the university's strengths in "Energy Technology Innovation" and "Urban Safety Operations," this program focuses on three research directions: Green Auditing, Security Auditing, and Performance Auditing. It has established distinctive expertise and advantages in Environmental and Sustainable Development Auditing, Urban and Supply Chain Resilience Security Auditing, and Energy Development and Energy Efficiency Management Auditing.
(1) Green Auditing
Addressing major demands of the national dual-carbon strategy and leveraging platforms such as the Development Research Center of Beijing New Modern Industrial Area and the Beijing Collaborative Innovation Center for "Capital Clean Energy Supply and Usage Security Technology," this direction emphasizes the university's disciplinary focus on "Energy Technology Innovation." It applies auditing theories and methodologies to the green economy, resources, and environment sectors, conducting research on green auditing including carbon verification and auditing, and ESG auditing. Research outcomes have been adopted by relevant Beijing municipal departments and the Daxing District Government, providing decision-making support.
(2) Security Auditing
Leveraging platforms including the Beijing Institute of Work Safety Engineering and Technology Research Institute, co-established with the Beijing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, and the Beijing Science and Technology Innovation Team "Petroleum Economic Security and Evaluation Innovation," this direction highlights the disciplinary focus on "Resilience and Security Risks of Industrial Chains, Supply Chains, and Value Chains." It applies auditing theories and methodologies to conduct security auditing research in areas such as network and information security, industrial production safety, and urban safety operations and emergency management. Research achievements have received multiple awards, including the Second Prize of the National Work Safety and Emergency Management Theoretical Innovation Research Award. Outcomes have been adopted by the Beijing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, the Tongzhou District Government, and related enterprises, playing a significant role in decision support, management consulting, and social services.
(3) Performance Auditing
Utilizing resources including the Beijing Key Construction Discipline "Technology Economics and Management," the Beijing Key Research Institution "Development Research Center of Beijing New Modern Industrial Area," and the Beijing Science and Technology Innovation Team "Energy Efficiency Management Evaluation and Innovation," this direction emphasizes "digital and intelligent" features. It conducts performance auditing research within the context of Chinese practices, integrating big data and AI information technology, green and low-carbon development, resilience and security, and emerging capital markets. Research outcomes provide decision-making support for government and related enterprises.
