School of Humanities and Social Sciences
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences was established in 2002. Over the past two decades, the School has played an important role in both discipline-specific education for students in the School and humanisticgeneral education for all students of the university to meet theneeds of the new era and national strategies.
The School is responsible for the general education curriculum in humanities and arts across the university. The undergraduate programs of the School consist of Tourism Management, Human Resource Management, Event Management, and Network and New Media. The postgraduate programs include Tourism Management and Human Resource Management undeh Business Administration program.
The School adheres to an educational philosophy that values both practical experience and academic rigor. While pursuing professional studies, students consistently engage in scientific researchand participatei discipline competitions and social practices. They possess solid professional knowledge, broad perspectives, and a pragmatic attitude, making them be welcomed by employers. The School has several research institutions at both the university and School levels, including the Tourism Innovation and Green Development Research Center, the Beijing Safety Culture Research InstituteCptl CommuitySocial Goverance Innovation Research Center, the Tourism and Cultural Creativity Center, the ESG Leadership and Talent Development Research Center, and the Exhibition and Communication Research Center. Relying on the Beijing Modern Industrial New District Development Research Base, part of the Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Base, the School conducts scientific research and social service work, achieving remarkable social impact.
In July 2012, the university established the Qingyuan Academy. All activities organized by the Academy upholds the spirit ofancient academies, lears from classical sages, and students are accompanied by classics. Sustaining a clear stream of wisdom and cultivating the backbone of the society, the Qingyuan Academy clears a space of the half-acre square pond for implementingcultural literacy education for students.
